Alaina Gates-Sterk

WI Licensed Massage Therapist #13576-146
MN Registered Naturopathic Doctor #1068

Alaina has been a massage therapist for seven years and employs multiple techniques during her sessions including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, passive stretching, and even some elements of Thai massage. She strives to create a space of quiet reflection and relaxation when working with massage clients so they feel free to unwind. Alaina loves to incorporate essential oils into her sessions, if the client prefers.

If a client wishes to chat during a session, she won’t turn away the opportunity for conversation, especially if the client desires to discuss matters concerning their health journey. Talking out one’s thoughts can be as therapeutic as body work!

Alaina completed her initial education in massage therapy at National University of Health Sciences 2015, just after graduating from the Naturopathic Doctoral program in 2014. She began her massage practice and offered naturopathic consults as a Wellness Partner at Soteria for four years, before she married her husband Ben and moved to Bristol in 2019.

She continued to practice massage at Lake Geneva Chiropractic for three years. Then God led her family to return to the Appleton area. A job change for her husband was the impetus, and the promise of returning to be closer to family and friends was an inviting opportunity for both Alaina and Ben, especially as they welcomed their son Zeke Earth-side in late 2021.

In addition to the many gifts she brings to our team, Alaina is currently completing training in MediCupping and Hot Stone work, and she has a number of other treatments she can’t wait to offer down the road.

Alaina enjoys discussing the subjects of nutrition, anatomy, cooking, and her little guy. If you see her around the center, please make sure to say hi!
