Physician's Approval:

Due to the systemic effects of massage, bodywork, and other therapies utilized at Soteria Wellness, clients with certain medical conditions may be asked to provide written approval from their health care provider prior to receiving certain types of bodywork or supportive therapies.

These include, but are not limited to: high risk pregnancy, kidney disease, serious cardiac or circulatory conditions, recent traumatic brain injuries, certain skin conditions, and metastasizing cancers.

If you have any questions about the implications of a certain type of massage or bodywork technique or complimentary therapy on a specific condition, please mention it when scheduling and consult your primary health care provider.

If you are on medications for inflammation and/or pain relief and would like to receive deep tissue work, clinical/treatment massage, or Medicupping™, please contact us to discuss the best timing for your appointment.

Our motto is Enhancing Optimal Health throughout the Lifespan so we are honored to be entrusted with your child's/dependent adult's massage and bodywork needs. All ages and abilities are welcome at our facility.

Children & Minors

We offer infant massage instruction to new families and pediatric CranioSacral Therapy and massage in shorter increments to our youngest clients.
Services for clients newborn through 8 years old will be provided with their parent or guardian present in the room.
Clients 9-15 may receive their services with their parent/guardian on the premises with or without the door to the treatment room open as the parent/guardian, child, and therapist agree.
After their initial visit, 16-17 year old clients may schedule and receive services on their own with parent/guardian approval.

Any client under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their Health History and Informed Consent forms.

Adults with Special Needs

For our adult clients with special needs, we request their guardian to remain on site throughout their session.

First Time Clients

Please print, complete, and bring paperwork from the Client Forms section of our website or arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment to fill out paperwork at the studio.

Arrival Times

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time to use the restroom, get a drink, and breathe for a moment. New Clients should plan on arriving at least 15 minutes before their first appointment to do the same and fill out any necessary Client Forms.

Cancellation Policy

24-hour advance notice is required to cancel an appointment.  This allows the opportunity for another client to schedule an appointment. An appointment cancelled without 24-hour advance notification will result in a full charge to the client for the missed appointment. You will be billed for the full session charge, which must be paid prior to scheduling a new appointment.

No-Show Policy

If you miss an appointment without calling 24 hours in advance, you are responsible for the full appointment price. You will be billed for the full session charge, which must be paid prior to scheduling a new appointment. Repeated no shows will result in lost scheduling privileges.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session amount.

24 Hour Substance-Free Bodywork Guideline

Because massage and other supportive therapies can increase circulating levels of alcohol/substances in the system, it is suggested that clients refrain from heavy consumption within 24 hours of their bodywork, sauna, or bio-electromagnetic therapy appointment. This will ensure a safer, more pleasant experience for you as well as for your practitioner. Your therapist will decline your appointment if you smell of alcohol or appear impaired.

For Medicupping™ and Lymphatic Drainage sessions it is imperative to avoid alcohol/recreational drugs for 24 hours before your session.

For Bio-electromagnetic Energy Therapy, please also avoid caffeine for 2 hours and nicotine for 30 minutes prior to your session due to their dehydrating effects.
