Debra is excited to live life fully, sharing her passion for wellness as a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist at Soteria Wellness. She spurs her clients to greater heights of well-being through her training from Fox Valley School of Massage and her advanced continuing education. She enjoys living a holistic, healthy lifestyle and shares its benefits and her healing touch with her clients offering Relaxation (Swedish) and Therapeutic Massage, Lymphatic Face Massage, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, MediCupping™ Therapy, AromaTouch Technique™ and Symphony of the Cells™.
As a Certified Personal Trainer, Debra has the unique opportunity as a massage therapist to work with her clients using various stretches and gentle strengthening exercises to assist their healing process at home. While she is not accepting personal training clients, the addition of this skillset to her massage and bodywork sessions empowers long-lasting results.
Serenity in Sixty is Debra’s hallmark creation at Soteria Wellness. In school and when receiving massage, she enjoyed the deep relaxation that comes from work on the face, hands and feet so much that she created sixty (and ninety) minute sessions entirely devoted to these areas. The session begins with an essential oil and Epsom salts foot soak, followed by time on the infrared BioMat warmed table for this focused massage as her clients melt into a blissful state of deep relaxation. They walk away renewed, refreshed and re-invigorated.
Debra takes pride in focusing on each client’s needs, welcoming open communication to ensure the right touch personalized for each client. As she continues adding new modalities to her repertoire, she sees even greater possibilities for restoration through massage and bodywork. Debra’s growing client base is enthusiastic about her work and her calming, peaceful presence in the massage room.
A native of the Fox Valley, Debra has been married 30 years to Michael, her greatest support and friend. She has invested in her family by homeschooling and has successfully graduated her three adult children. She and her husband continue to co-teach their youngest son. They enjoy the great outdoors and their Wisconsin big backyard. Their family commits their time and resources to travel beyond Wisconsin to other parts of the world for humanitarian causes.
Although her family is her greatest accomplishment, Debra’s excitement is contagious on her journey pursuing her passion for wellness. She has found massage incredibly rewarding, a win-win career, in which she can focus on taking care of herself, her family and others. She lives by the saying, “We cannot begin to help heal the world until we heal ourselves”. Each time she walks through the doors, Debra looks forward to partnering with each client as they begin or continue their journey to health and wellness.
